Berisha spoke today about the U.S. embassy cables published on WikiLeaks that are making the headlines in all major televisions and newspapers in Albania. He said that ambassador Withers’ cables were just a mirror of the daily press in Albania. He also dubbed Julian Assange as the Lupin of modern times, but said that that his esteem for the current U.S. ambassador Alexander Arvizu was very high and the relations with the American government are on their best terms.

A water bus carrying 15 passengers on board sank today at noon in the waters of Fierza Lake in northern Albania on a routine trip. Fortunately no one was drowned or hurt in the accident. All 15 passengers on board survived the shipwreck. 9 of them managed to swim to the shore and rang the alarm about the event to local residents. The rest of the passengers were helped to the shore by other passengers with small boats and lifebuoys. Fierza Lake is no natural lake.
