Member of the Albanian Parliament, Gezim Dibra,  died yesterday of an incurable lung disease. He was 51. He was elected MP in the parliamentary elections of 2009 in the county of Shkoder. Prior to that he was a succesful businessman. He left behind his widowed wife and a 10-year-old daughter. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family as the expression of our deepest sympathy in this difficult moment and condolences for their loss. He will always be remembered.

The world markets opened today with heavy losses. All the financial media rang the alarm of another global crisis looming large in the horizon after the tumbling of financial markets in Asia and Europe due to the insecurities  caused by the euro-zone debts and U.S. recovery. 

London's FTSE 100 Index fell 2.5%, Frankfurt's DAX shed 2%, Paris's CAC-40 Index dropped 2.6% and Milan's FTSE-MIB lost 3.5%.
