Berisha: Every Albanian must work hard to create more revenues for my family!
Noted for his blunders and slips of the tongue, Albanian prime minister Sali Berisha stated yesterday the truest fact of Albanian reality. Fiks Fare, the most watched TV show in Albania, on the occasion of October 10, the World Day of Mental Health, showed prime minister holding a speech before the residents of a village during a visit there. While encouraging the residents to work hard, Berisha said that “every Albanian has to work hard to create more income for my family”.
This might be considered a slip of the tongue, but such occurrences are becoming increasingly more frequent as the time passes, for which there are only two possible explanations: either prime minister tells the truth or he is emotionally and mentally distressed. The last explanation seems to be more relevant, considering other embarrassing blunders by prime minister last week only, like when he addressed the U.S. ambassador as Mr. President during a reception at the embassy, where he also messed up all the names of the attendees or when during a parliamentary session presided over by a man prime minister addressed him as “Dear Ms. Speaker of Parliament”.
A slip of tongue or not, the statement last night reflected the Albanian reality: Albanians are really working hard to make Berisha family extremely wealthy.
